Every year, thousands of people fasting search for free iftar opportunities . In Istanbul, municipalities, foundations, and local organizations set up free iftar tents for those who cannot make it home in time or need a helping hand. Last year, ESI had the joy of supporting a traditional free iftar in Beşiktaş on March 24, 2025, where around 250 Erasmus students joined along the streets in front of local restaurants. It was a night full of community, solidarity, and laughter . Special thanks to Teo for handling promotion & mailing (even while fasting!) and to Emir for coordinating with local tradesmen.
